I was 23 years old and after 3 pegnancies the first was full term but deseased. I got depressed after the first baby and put on like 75Lbs. Then 3years later to get pregnant again with my son wo weighed 7lbs and seven ounces I gained a wopping 30lbs
this left me weghing 235lbs. Soon after a little over a year in something I was pregnant with my daughter I then gained 66 lbs.
This left me weighing in at 301lbs. After trying diet after die and exercising and nothing happening I began to think there was no hope. My husband hung in there. He is the ideal husband never complained or made me feel that I was any less of a women.
I went to work one evening working for a hospital in food service. I left my work area to deliver a food tray and stepped out in the hall
to proceed I broke out in a sweat and instantly felt faiint. I walked back in and went to the freezer where I tried to cool off. that didn't help. I was approached by my manager she insisted that I go down to ER and at least let them check my pressure. It was 222/160
which was more than off the chart. The Dr. proceeded to say that the machine was broke. Therefore he ordered another one same
thing he went through 3 mahines before determining that this was real. Soon after he called my husband and I was kept in ER over night. Three wekks later I had Bronchitus and had to take breathing treaments 3 times a day. I was diagnosed with Asthma. I had
never hasd health issues . This was all over welming. I went to my primary care physician and I had researched the Gastric Bypass
and heard so much negative about it that I was really afraid to even inquire. Then I began to pray and as I prayed I began to research more I finally had the nerve to ask my Dr. about this. He determined I was a perfect Canidate for this surgery. He then reffered me to Dr. Leggette. I went through the proper channels and was denied the first time which then seemed discouraging.
It was actually a blessing in disguise. After thjis I went to the financial department through the Dr. office because I was
curious to know If I was insured through my job and my husbands could I use one as a primary and one as a secondary. The
financial advisor told me yes this was good news. We began again to get me approved and we succeeded. After getting approved
I was worried about the out of pocket. After they processed my paper work.
My Dr. immediately wanted to schedule and I went with it. We scheduled for two days later.
I didn't have the money to proceed. I prayed and said God if this is your will let it be done. I had previously
sent off a printer to be repaired and totally for got about it. I know that it was God who sent me to the living area
I then went through the old mail and behold there was a check for 387.00 which was the exact amount that was needed to
pay my deductible and get my medicine that was needed afterwards.
This is my Story and very blessed one.
