Bev. I just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery. This is not a easy way but it is a sure way. It has been so worth it for me and I believe that it will be as sucessful for you also

Bev, Best of wishes to you on crossing to the other side. It sounds like you are a very considerate person by not wanting to "dump" on your co-worker. Don't be concerned about what you do or do not get done. I am sure that you have repaid that favor already. What a great idea to have some goal treats already to go. You will get that first piece quickly. God bless! KimmieTN@goal

Hi Bev. About having a nurse that is a friend, I would think that it depends on how close you are. If you are good friends, will it bother you to have her perform some of the more intimate duties (catheter removal, helping in the bathroom, etc.)? When I had my surgery last July, I knew that my neighbor across the street was a surgical tech at the hospital. So even though I don't know him very well, we are neighbors and friendly, I let him know about my surgery. He asked me if I wanted him to be in the OR and after I thought about it, decided that, yes, it would make me feel better knowing that someone was "watching out" for me. Not that I didn't totally trust my doc - I love Dr. Ferrari! He (my neighbor) made sure to go out afterward and let my husband know everything was fine and that I did well. I think he even stapled my incision closed! Good luck with your surgery, and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Best of luck to you on your day. I live in Rockford, but our church is in Belvidere. The BTC used to be Highland Hospital.

Hey Bev! I am also having surgery on Monday (4/07) @ BTC in Belvidere. I was originally going with Dr. Boe, but he didn't have any dates open when I would have the time to take off. He is a wonderful doctor. I enjoyed meeting him at my consultation. I am now having surgery with Dr. Vaughn. Keep me in your prayers and I will be praying for you. Stay Blessed!!
