My best wishes for a safe and successful surgery. I hope all goes well for you and that you have a problem free recovery and a rapid weight loss. I had my open rny in Oct. 2001 and have lost 215 lbs already and am at my goal. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!! This surgery had made a wonderful change in my life and I feel so good now it is unbelievable. I was using a cpap for my sleep apnea now I sleep like a baby and my wife says that I don't even snore anymore!! Good luck to you on your surgery and recovery. Welcome Bev. This site is such a blessing, I have learned so much from other people, I like it better than the support groups because here you can just be real, let it all hang out, wear just your underwear if your too hot and chill out. I am new on my journey too and my surgeon is at the BTC here in Michigan. If you call the BTC they will tell you right over the phone if they have a shot at getting you approved for surgery, now the consult is 85.00 and is not covered but some insurance companies let you subtract it from your deductible.
