Here I am...8 plus years post op (RNY).  I've been at a stable weight and size for a couple of years now.  No big news to report other than life (well, the weight/health/size part) is good.  I have NEVER regretted doing this.  I had RNY in July 2001.  I'm still obsessed...I weigh myself every day.  I do go up and down 5-7 pounds now...and that makes me a little crazy...but I never want to let myself gain the weight back.  Got rid of all my old size 26's a long time ago...and don't want to outgrow my size 6's.  If you're on the journey...good luck and God speed.  It's worth it.

Six years and 3 months post op (open RNY).  Starting weight was 287...current weight 135.  Starting size 26...current size 6.  I NEVER thought it was possible.  I have never worn a size six in my life...until now!

Big plateau after the first 100 pounds...and ups and downs for a long time...but kept coming back focused on moving the needle.  I joined WW in April 2007 to help take off the last pounds.  Then at 160, my goal was to get to 135...but now I think I want to get under 130.

I had a tummy tuck and breast lift in July.  That helped with some of the excess skin issues that diet and exercise would NOT help.

It IS possible.  This board was my every day companion during my pre- and post-surgery months.  It's been some journey...but totally worth it.

I am now 6 years post op.    Day of surgery, I was 287.  Today, I am 144.   Spent two years around 155...rejoined Weight Watchers when I spiked to 160.  Scheduled for tummy tuck and breast lift this week.

Miracles DO hapen!  Never thought this would be me...but here I am.

OH.com was such a God-send when I was going through approval and surgery processes.  Just wanted to check in and let newbies know that there is hope!!
