So, this section is called my story? Well, let me try to sum my story up in as few words as possibe.
I was born in Beckley, WV, where I still reside, in 1977. I was a chubby baby, chunky todder, plump teen, and fat adult. Basically, its been a battle from birth. 
I have 4 great kids. My son was first to come along in 97, my daughter followed shortly after in 98, and then yet another daughter in 99. I thought I was finished... and then here came Makenzie, my youngest daughter in 2003. Well, I was about 190 lbs when I got pregnant the first time, and boy did my weight skyrocket after that. I was putting on atleast 30 to 40 pounds a year. My kids are now 11,9,8,and 4... so the excuse of just having a baby is invalid!!!
I finally decided to have gastric bypass sugery about 6 months ago. I was looking into it, talking to people, watching the results of my friends who had had it done, and basically waiting on my insurance through work to kick in. I have Mountain State Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Super Blue.
I did my 6 months weight loss, had my thyroid tested, did my sleep study, and failed at about every diet out there. I have high blood sugar, blood pressure, a bad back,ankle, and knees, high cholestrol, mild depression, and a handful of other aches and pains along with a few more illnesses. 
I went to see Dr. Daniel Stickler in Charleston, WV on the 6th of March. GREAT MAN, GREAT STAFF, AND VERY EDUCATIONAL! I had to talk to my surgeon, talk to the dietician, and then take a psych evaluation. I had to reschedule my evaluation to Monday the 10th. She said that she will have her report done by tomorrow (Monday) and will give it to the Staff @ Medabolix. They will then submit it to my insurance for approval. 
I have already started my chewable viatimins, drinking my protein shakes, and eating small portions. I am more excited about this than anything I can think of. My friends, family, Church family, and everyone is sticking by my side and my decision to have this done. I should know something this week about an approval and a date.
