Tonight is the seminar!! yay

I am sooooo excited to get the journey started. I have waited for two weeks (long weeks) to go to this seminar for the WLS. Thats the first step in journey, and I will go from there. I am soooo worried about being denied, but I don't think I will be. I need this surgery, and hopefully Dr. Symmonds can make my insurance company (bluecross blueshield of AL) see that I need this as well. My PCP has been pretty helpful for me so far. I am just kinda frustrated 
cuz I went to see her again today, becuase I called Symmonds office, and they said they have not received my refferral yet. I just hope the whole process doesnt go like this becuase I REALLLLLLY want this!!! So pray for me tonight as I start my own journey. I will keep you all updated on a regular basis so you can know whats going on with me. THANKS!!!

Seminar Coming up Wednesday!

Hey Peeps! I have a seminar scheduled to go to on Wednesday the 5th. I am excited and I really hope that I get approved for the RNY. I not only want to have it so I can have a baby (even though that's my main reason), but I just want to have a healthier life all in all. So pray for me that I get approved! Lord know I need it!

My doc sent the referral in today!!

So I have been reading up a lot on this RNY bypass surgery. I have been stuck between that and the lap band, but I can't fathom having a device in my body forever. So I just did pros and cons on each surgery and I came up with less cons and more pros with the RNY. I know its more pain, but in the long run its more beneficial for me.
I made an appt today for the referral on the surgery, and my doc told me that the surgery would be good for me BUT my blood pressure is too high for it. (BOO!!) She said they won't do it if I have high BP so I need to make some lifestyle changes along with taking my pills for it to go down. She still sent in the referral and told me that if I don't hear from her or my insurance company by Aug 3 to call the doctor's office. So keep your fingers crossed for me please! I REALLY want this. I don't see why I wouldn't get approved other than the 6 months supervised weight loss program. But most people say that they get approved even without that. We shall see!!!!! Thanks for reading.
