just got a call from my doctors office, my insurance now approves the sleeve as of mid October....if i want to have the sleeve now, im approved....In 2007 when i started my journey, I wanted a rnyx, went to my first weightloss surgeon, he talked to me about a new procedure called, "the lapband" came home and done research, changed my mind to the lapband...late 2010 went to my second wls doctor, lapband has to come out, and decided to revise, new procedure called the sleeve, sounds awesome.... july they didnt approve stating i was non compliant but also they did not cover the procedure but they would cover a bypass...did more research on bypass and decided ok....day before procedure, dr office calls me, i am also approved for the sleeve if that is what i want...had to call them back because i wanted to talk it over with my husband....im now going back to the sleeve...a little scared though....surgery tomorrow morning....
