 Date: Tuesday, April 3.  Over the fear, I'm excited and ready.

Well I didn't have my surgery over Christmas.  My mother was hospitalized multiple times.  I'm not going to let anything stop me for my April 3 surgery date.  I hope!

The Thanksgiving meal is over and all is quiet.  I am thinking alot about the upcoming surgery.  How much will it hurt?  Will I be able to go back to work as scheduled?  I am excited, but nervous.  My family is somewhat supportive.  I think only because it's what I want.  I have my psych eval today.  I am caring for my mother.  She goes to hyperbarics and wound care daily.  I hope that my surgery doesn't lessen what I need to do for her. 

I'm also thinking about whether I could tell my coworkers.  I have told a few, and they don't think that I should have the VGS.  One lost a relative to gastric bypass many years ago.  The surgeon left a sponge in him!

I have much to do today.  At least I've started a written description of my "fat" journey!
