I was at Raleigh airport by 2 pm ET Monday, Nov 19th. Boarded the Jet for Charlotte at 3:30 pm ET. Got to Charlotte in Just enough time to board flight to Las Vegas at 5{50 pm due to delays on runway at Raleigh. I was the last one to load. But on that jet I did not have to ask for an extension for the seatbelt! And there was more room. We arrived in Las Vegas airport at 7:45 pm PT. And THEN the waiting began...I had to wait for the porter or whatever you call them to finish walking off to help others instead using his radio to call someone else like they usually do...then while I was waiting for him he had me to call the hotel for the shuttle and of course they sent it immediately....they called me to tell me they were waiting in me before he even got me down to the baggage claim area...then he had me call them again before baggage started coming around to see where they were "going to be"...the lady laughed and said with all the other hotel shuttles....then we waited 35 mins for them to get our luggage to start on the carousel...and the guy took a NAP in a chair beside me....then I finally made it to this beautiful hotel!!! This place is awesome!!!!

These people are bending over backward for ME!!!  And my insurance is paying for this place!!! WOW!!!! And I am exhausted!!!! So I am off here till tomorrow! It is just 9:45 pm here but my body clock says its after midnight!!!

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts for my flight out! I had a very smooth flight both times!!! Thank God too!!! Good Night!!!

OK, I am hyper!!! Nicky fell off this 10' high bed scared us both to death. I can't seem to swallow this morning!  Marsha's gonna pack (repack) my carry on, she thinks I don't know how! just because I haven't flown since the early '90s! I don't see why she feel that way!!! then it will be rush rush rush to get me to the Raleigh airport 3 hours early because o problems with American Airlines!! SO we will see how today goes. I'm going to miss my baby Nicky. But My friend Nick will be with me - IF I ever see him - He's going to gamble and may stay longer than me. Who knows!?!?

OK, So I'm off here for this morning. I will try to get on when I get to Vegas tonight. I'll have to wait and see...

I drove to Marsha's today. OH it was so great to see her after all these years!!!  So this is the first leg....

OK, I'm packing the final stuff! I leave in the morning!!!!!!!!! I am SO nervous!!! I am SO excited!!!!!!  I am SO scared!!!!! Here I go for my turn now!!!! I honestly never thought it would get here!!!!!!!!!!! 

First I have to DRIVE 2 1/2 hours to Marsha's. I'm am SO ready to get out of Dodge!!!!! Then I will be at the airport tomorrow around 2 pm ET....OMG (Oh My Gracious!!) Then I'm to land in VEGAS around 8 pm PT!!!!!  VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!  OH MY!! I'm planning to get pics of the lights cause it will be dark! Plan to post is possible!! So keep watching. 

I also plan to have people take different photos of me all around town if possible. Hopefully no one will run off with my camera. I will have Tuesday Morning to wander around. I really want to see the Race track!!!!!  I'm a HUGE NASCAR fan cause I used to work for them. And I live here in NASCAR country. I grew up in a family that raced every weekend and it still carries on down the generations. So the RACE TRACK is important to me! I want lots of pics of it! LOL! 

Then Surgery on Wednesday Morning!!!!! Discharged Thursday after noon. (No Turkey for me!!!!!) Then back to hotel to rest & get ready to return to NC on Friday!!!!  And back to Marsha's for the next two weeks...to recoup, regroup, rest, relax, and realize my new life changes!!! I am SO ready for this!!!

So send me prayers, thoughts and love!!!  I will need all I can get to keep from jumping out of my skin!!!  Thank you guys so much for all the support!!!! I LOVE this site!!!

I am closer and closer!!! I leave Sunday morning for Marsha's. Monday for Vegas. Tuesday meet Doc & team!!!!! Now I'm excited!!!

Except for having to clean my house before I leave!!!!!   It's not working telling myself it will be clean when I get back!!! UGH!!!

Nicky got his grooming this morning. I still have to pack his bag. Still have to pack my 2 bags - one for flight one for Marsha's.

Still have to go spend time with my Mom for Thanksgiving...will take some Turkey & Cottage cheese and she'll be happy!!! LOL!

So I guess I'm pert near ready!!!!

GNC had big sale on stuff I LIKE AND USE so I stocked up for POST surgery.Also bought so packets to take on plane to Vegas with me. Also got two bars to try.

I was Approved & Scheduled today!!!  It's next Wednesday the 21st!! I fly out Tuesday and Return on Saturday!! I go to Marsha's, then to Raleigh - hop to Charlotte - Straight to Las Vegas then to the fancy Hotel they are putting me up in. I settle in, have lunch, meet the others having surgery, then off to the Doc's office meet my Surgeon and his staff and the Nutritionist's seminar at 2pm. Then after that 4 hours I'm free till the next morning when I go in for surgery.

Can you believe it???  It's countdown time for me finally!!!!!

I have to remember that this surgery is MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT to MYSELF and it involves no one else!!!!

No call came in tonight from Las Vegas, so I still do not know when surgery will be.

I got so upset - actually all over the map! - that I went to the drug store, grocery store, and then hit a drive thru and got a burger & fries!!!! I did wait till I got home, sat down, then ate slow. It tasted AWFUL! It came up as fast as it went down! I wasted my $$ on that, but it calmed my nerves for a while!!! Not a good habit to continue! I now know not to do that again - I can't waste money like that, not to mention it just is not the same anymore. I learned an important lesson tonight!!!
