OK I THINK THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET BETTER!!!!!  I QUIT TAKING THE CANCER MEDS ABOUT A WEEK AGO AND I GOT ON THE SCALES THIS MORNING AND THANK GOODNESS I HAVE LOST 2 lbs!!!! I AM SO PROUD!!!!!  FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO  DON'T KNOW MY STORY.... IN SHORT I HAD WLS 06/02/08 STARTED AT 275 WHEN I WENT FOR MY 6 MONTH CHECK-UP IN DEC. I WAS DOWN 103 lbs (TO 172lbs) BUT I HAVE A TYPE OF PRE-CANCER AND I WAS PUT ON SOME MEDS FOR THAT AND I STARTED GAINING WEIGHT (the only side effect of this med) WELL I QUICKLY JUMPED BACK UP TO 191 BUT (YAH!!!) THIS MORN I AM BACK DOWN TO 189 SO MAYBE I WILL CONTINUE TO PROGRESS!!! I JUST WANT TO KEEP BEING A LOSER!!!                                       

FIRST OF ALL I JUST WANT TO SAY HOW HAPPY I AM FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS REACHED OR IS WELL ON THEIR WAY TO REACHING THEIR GOALS, BUT I THINK I AM GOING TO LEAVE THE BOARD CUZ I AM JUST SOOO DEPRESSED ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING IN MY LIFE AND THE FACT THAT 10 MONTHS AFTER I HAD THIS SURGERY I AM GAINING WEIGHT AGAIN.... I KNOW IT IS BECUZ OF THE CANCER BUT THIS BOARD IS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE LOSING WEIGHT AND THAT IS NOT ME..........

Well I am now back up to 189.  But I have made the decision that I am not taking the cancer meds anymore.... I refuse to gain any more weight I did not have WLS just to regain the weight, It has not even been 1 year I should not be gaining weight again I should still be losing. I don't know exactly what is going to happen now that I am not taking the meds anymore I guess I'll have to wait and see.......                                                

I'm so frustrated right now..... I started out at 275 had my surgery then at my 6 month check  up in Dec I was down to 172 but now they have found that I have some type of pre-cancer and they have me on some meds that make me want to eat more than I ever did before I had the WLS and since Dec. I have gained 13lbs I am back up to 185 and it makes me so damn mad I don't know what to do. If I stop taking the meds it can turn into full blown cancer but if I keep taking it I will be back up to 300 before long. I just don't know how to deal with this!!! Anybody got any ideas?????

OK I have decided that sitting at home looking at this treadmill is not getting me anywhere so my husband and i are going to join a gym maybe with his moral support i will get out there and move my bootie and lose some more weight!! I have been stuck between 172 and 176 ever since 12/09 when i went for my 6 month check up. I mean don't get me wrong I am perfectly happy with the 102lbs i lost before my 6 month checkup but Iwant to at least get to my goal of 150 before my year anniversary. So wish me luck on this new approach and hope I have the will power to stick to it!!!!

went to my 6 month check-up and my offical weigh in is 173.5!! so that is a total of 102lbs lost. will post more later!

Hi All    

Well tomorrow it will be 6 months since I had my surgery and I can now say I lost 100 lbs since my WLS. I started at 275.5 lbs and this morning I got on the scale and I NOW WEIGH 175.4!!!!!! I am so happy and excited!!! I can wear a size 8 jeans and some medium shirts (even though I usually still wear a large, I like my shirts a little big on me!!) I feel so much better I don't hurt everywhere anymore, I can bend over without cutting off my breath, I feel like my life has more quality now. I am so happy I had this surgery and I will never regret any of it!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you all have the best holidays possible!!!

 Just wanted to stop by & say hello and tell everyone that i am 3 lbs away from being able to say that I have lost 100 lbs in less than 6 months!!!!    now if i can just get these next 3 lbs gone before Dec. 2nd.!!!! Everything is going good i need to get back on track with the exercise and I know it will be alot easier but damn I have a major lack of energy!!!! but I do have the will power so I know I can do this!!!!

Sorry I haven't been on in such a long time but I have been really super busy!! 1st the good news I have lost a total of 91lbs in less than 5 months!!!! Only 34 more to go to reach my goal of 150!!!! But I am happy with the way Iam right now!! ok then comes the bad news my dr. has found that I am in have the 1st stage of cancer in my privates and that suxs!!! but I'll pull through it and I'll be ok!!  I now have custody of 2 of my cousins children and they keep me busy!!! Cesar is 6 and Abigail is 3 so you can imagine how it is!!  They are really good kids for the most part!!  I will try to gret more pics on here in the next couple of days!! I hope everyone is doing well!!

Just a really fast note to let everyone know I just added new pictures!!
No new news in the loss department I am at 211 so it is still really slow go but at least it is going!!!
