Hi Elizabeth; I just wanted to wish you a safe and uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. Try to stay positive and upbeat before your surgery. I know it's hard because like you, I too had no friendly support. I have lost a cousin and a few friends over this but I knew it was their problem, not mine. I did this for me, to get healthy and live longer. If they are truly friends, they will "come around" and be there for you. This is the time to take care of yourself and you'll get through this just fine. It's exciting that you have such a wonderful, new experience opening up for you a 3 days. Elizabeth, sending you lots of hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery. Never feel that you are without friends, you have all of us!!!! We are here with you any time of the night and day. You are going to be just fine and you will be post op and posting to help the rest of us.

Hi Elizabeth, I want to say you sound like a very special person and please don't let anyone bring you down. Stay focused on all the positives that are happening in your life. Hey girlie, you have to stop this stressing thing going on. you have your hubbie and your God if you believe. That's all you needs. Forget about negitive people, don't loss any sleep over her. Im sure she isn't losing none over you. You have to stay focused here and THINK POSITIVE. Take care hon~*~Hugs~*~

Your big day is nearly here! Don't let anyone get you down about that; it's your day, your new beginning. I'm very excited for you. I know how it is to have some family members and friends who do not agree with your decission to have WLS. My mother especially is afraid and not being supportive, even after I've tried to educate her on the reasons and procedure. However, she can't bring me down now...it's just to close to my big day too (July 23), and I'm so darn sure about what I'm doing. I hope you find peace and comfort before the 10th. I'll be sending positive thoughts your way. Take care of you!

Elizabeth, I know what you mean about being overly excited, I am too. I also have July 10th as my surgery day. We are both going to do fine. We can check our progress together on WLS. May God keep you in the palms of his hands as you go through this life changing time. God Bless you,
