Carolann Ruthenberg
My obesity history goes back to the age of 12 yrs. Mom and Dad were always trying to help by sending me to the doctor to lose weight or Diet Watchers, etc. I'm 69 yrs. old now and it's been a long long history of unsuccessful attempts at losing weight. Looking in the rearview mirror, I would say that I have the best chance of getting my weight off and becoming healthy with gastric bypass. When I joined Obesity Help I was about 235. ..My surgery was FEBRUARY 12, 2007, and I was 257lbs. or a size 4X. February 12-2007 and I weigh 257lbs. My goal weight is 125lbs (5'3"). I LOOK AT THE GASTRIC BYPASS AS A "TOOL IN MY WEIGHT LOSS/MAINTAIN TOOLBOX". I CURRENTLY EAT LOW CARB AND WALK OUR DOG 2 MILES EVERYDAY.
