Went for my one week follow-up appointment today, and I am very happy to report that I have lost 12 lbs total this month!  Life is getting better!  Three days after surgery, I didn't know if I was ever going to feel good again, but I did recover and am feeling about 80-85% normal now!  Despite the pain from the surgery and the mind games going on between my brain and stomach, I would definitely recommend this surgery to anyone serious about losing weight!  Thanks to the support of my loving wife, the transition has been that much easier!

Good day!  One day out and still sore, but it is getting better.  I'm really looking forward to seeing my weight loss at 6 mths out.  Thanks to everyone for all the kind words and well wishes!

I'm home from my surgery today!  Over all, it wasn't a bad experience.  Quite a bit of nausea, and I threw up the first time I drank after surgery, but all went well, and I am home!

To the people looking into Lap-Band, it is painful, but the ultimate goal is weight loss and a healthy new you.  It's well worth it!

I want a cheeseburger!  This clear liquids thing is horrible!  But I only have a couple more hours before bedtime, then I'll be heading to the hospital tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. for my life-changing Lap-Band procedure.  I am so excited and nervous!

I'll be starting my new lifestyle on 3/20/08, the date I have the Lap-Band surgery!  190 lbs...here I come!

Hey everyone!  My name is Carl.  I am 39 years old and want to shed my excess weight.  My wife, Ronna, had Lap-Band done on 8/16/07 and is successfully losing weight, so I figured this would be a great surgery to help me achieve my long-term weight loss goal.  I have already had my consult with Dr. Castro and am currently waiting to hear from the insurance company.  I am hoping to have Lap-Band in March, 2008.
