11/09/06 I called the doctors office to see if they had got my papers. She checked and said it was on his desk for review. WOO HOO! Baby Steps!
12/04/06 Today I got a letter from the surgeons office daying I have to go on a supervised diet by my PCP or a dietician. That's today tho. Maybe I can lose some of this weight before my surgery. I was really wannting to get my band in Jan. but I will just count this as the start of my journey.
1/12/07 I got a call from my WLS Dr's office today. I have an appt 1/25 at 1:30pm. I assume it is for the initial consult. Can you believe I didn't even ask? I was so excited I just made the appt. I go to my PCP Tuesday for for 1st month
weigh-in for my pre-op diet. Two months to go on my diet.
Not doing too good because I had 2 holidays and my grandkids were here 2 weeks.
1/16/07 I went to my PCP today for my 1 month weigh-in. Sure enough I was sabataged by the holidays and grandchildren's visit, Only lost 2 lbs.
Wouldn't have traded the kids being here for anything tho. I will just try to lose a couple more before my surgeons appt.
1/25/07 Well, I went to see my surgeon today. About 2 hrs away. I had 3 of my friends went with me. He wants me to loose 30-35lbs before he will do surgery. Quite a let down, but I can do it. He didn't say anything about seeing other doctors or a NUT but guess he wants me to loose the weight before I start going to see them. We stopped at a very nice seafood restaraunt on the way back and had my last meal. LOL Had a great outing with my good friends and supporters.
