"My first impression was that he was very professional and was very good at what he does. That continues to be my impression - he is very professional and I think one of the very best at what he does. His office staff are kind and courteous and very knowledgable about weight loss surgery candidates and their needs. If I had to choose surgical competence over bedside manner, surgical competence would win hands down! Although having both would be great. I would give my surgeon a 10 in competence and a 7 in bedside manner (on a scale of 1-10). Future patients should know that he is an excellent surgeon with many successful surgeries behind him. I trust him completely. He and his staff strongly emphasize aftercare and do have a structured aftercare program, even for those who live almost three hours from his hospital like I do. One of the things that most impressed me about him was the way that he went into great detail about the risks of weight loss surgery. He let everyone know up front what the risks are and the complications that could occur. He is very thorough and honest. I will thank him for the rest of my life for saving my life. He is my hero. And I would recommend him to anyone who is considering this surgery. He cares enough to drive across the state of Florida to bring the hope of this surgery to people who would not be able to find such hope locally (since there is a moratorium against weight loss surgery in the city where I live)."
