Went to doctor today for my one year checkup. the doctor who performed my surgery, Dr Myers has left Riverside Hospital and so I saw the new doctor, Dr Sonnastein and I love him. Met him couple weeks ago at the support meeting. He has a few different ideas but think they are good changes. Anyway i weighed 375 at my highest weight and today i weighed in at 208!!! He would like for me to get under 200 which is what i want also. My son will be 42 on March 21st and on that day I weighed 198 before i had him. Would like to be at weight again very soon!!!

Went to to Dr Myers last Thursday. He is not worried about me throwing up. He said that i look good. I do have to go back and see him on Jan 20th. Said he may have to dialate my opening if i am still throwing up. i ate a couple bites of grilled salmon on New Year's Eve and went home and threw that up. Then i did Ok until yesterday when i threw up both times that i ate. Tonight i tried to eat some Wendy's chili but only got about 3 tsps down. Could just tell that it was not going to work. Then i tried some cereal with same result so just ate a popsicle. I really wish i could eat something. the carbmaster yogurt stays down but not getting much nutrition and it will be 2 months since my surgery on Saturday the 8th.

This window of misery thing is no joke!! Can only take really small sips of water. Eating ice and sugar free popsicles but no protein there. Trying to get down one packet of protidiet a day mixed with only 4 oz of water. How long is this going to last??? Good news is that i have now lost 60 pounds so anything i have to go through is definitely worth it!! This too shall pass!!

i am supposed to be going back to work on Monday but this dirrehea has me worried. Don't see how i can go back to work and deal with it. I have quit the powdered protein altogether. Thought i was doing good eating cottage cheese and drinking the liquid protein but the big D struck again last night. Any ideas? I did not take immodium this time. It can't be good to take that all the time.

Yesterday i was two weeks out from surgery. I am having trouble with the big D. Dr Myers told me to take Benefiber every day so i did start that. Am just giving up on getting my protein from protein powder. Just can't get it down. I am sticking with the liquid proten Protidiet that i got from Dr Myers. Still not getting in my 60 grams a day. Have to better at that! Monday I can go on the pureed part of the diet so hoping that will be a little better. Am looking forward to Thanksgiving and being with family and know i will not be worried about how much I will be eating. Everyone is so worried about eating in front of me but it really does not bother me. takes so little to fill me up now! Just so amazing.

Made it thru one week! Having trouble getting all my liquid down, never was much of a water drinker. Have got to do better at this. Love the Unjury protein powder. One scoop with 8 oz of milk in the morning and have almost half my protein for the day. Belly is still sore but do not need to take pain meds. Want to get thru these next 2 weeks so i can have a wider variety of things to eat.

had my surgery on Monday and came home onTuesday. surgery went really smooth. Not much pain. Guess that is because my surgeon uses a robot. So glad the surgery part is overwith. And now i can have something other than those powdered protein packages. Going to grocery store later today to get creamed soups, cottage cheese. cream of wheat,milk, sugar free pudding and some fudgsicles. not really hungry though.

Okay tomorrow is my surgery day. Finally! Has been a long journey that I started on June 11th by going to the seminar at Riverside Hospital Fresh Start Bariatric center. Love Dr Stephen Myers and his staff. They have been very supportive and thorough. Ready to be done with this 2 week liquid diet. At least after the surgery i can back to having milk. I have lost 35 pounds so far. Looking forward to lots more. My son and sister have been a little skeptical with me having the surgery. They are worried that something could happen but something could happen at anytime being this heavy. i have prayed about this and am comfortable with my decision. It will be in God's hands tomorrow. Got to go get ready for church now. Hope to post again maybe by Wednesday or Thursday.
