Oh - I can't wait - tommorrow is the day!

I am so excited.  I'm packed and all ready to go.

I'm closer to my surgery date - 38 days (Nov. 17, 2010) and I am nervous.

I want to make great changes in my life and I can only imagine what this will do for me.

Looking for a support group in the Louisiana area.  Need to connect with people that have taken the journey.

Well, I went to get my upper GI done yesterday.  The chaulk was nasty.  I am so ready for surgery... a little nervous but very excited.  November can't get here fast enough.

Have several doctor appointments between now and then so that will keep me busy.  We start school in a week, so my students will keep me occupied. 

God knows I want this more than anything.  I want to be healthy!

Went to see Dr. Jonathan Taylor (Baton Rouge, LA) on yesterday.  What a great man!  He walked me through my options and told me that we can have the surgery as soon as I was ready and insurance was approved.  I have several stomach complications so I can't get the Lap Band.  I am either getting the sleeve or the bypass but I will not know until they go in and see how severe my stomach problems are.

Either way - I am so excited about the opportunity to change my life.  I have been on an emotional and physical roller coaster for so long that I am looking forward to the weight loss and life changes.

I have a DATE - November 17th at 8 am.  This gives me the Thanksgiving week to recover before returning back to school (I'm a school teacher).  So the date is far away but that gives me time to work on my pre-op diet.  Get my pre-op diet education and instructions next Friday.
