I weighed myself today and was pleasantly surprised.  All the holidays are now over and I still lost weight!!  Yippie!!  I now weigh 188 lbs.  So in the last year I've lost about 77 lbs.!!  How exciting!!!  Thank you Jesus!!  Without you I'd never have the courage and strength to do this.  If anyone is wondering, I'm so happy I did this!!

On Saturday I weigthed in at 198 lbs!  I haven't been that weight since I was 22 years old.  Wow!  It feels really great!  My "I can't fit into skinny pants" are now getting really baggy on me.  I LOVE it!! 

I've only lost .5 lbs in the last 4 weeks!!!  Bad, BAD!  I haven't been doing what I'm supposed to do.  That needs to stop.  I need to drink lots more water and get my exercises in. Doctors Orders!!  I need to be down 30 lbs. by the end of January!  So do it...no more excuses!!

Tomorrow I'll be at 7 weeks post op and I've lost 30 lbs!  This is when things start to get exciting.  I tried on a pair of size 16 pants last Sunday and they fit!  But I didn't buy them.  I'm waiting for a "have to buy size".  When I no longer have anything to wear, that's when I'll buy my first nice pair of jeans and I can't wait to see what size they will be!!

I experienced a little bleeding in one of my incisions yesterday.  The nurse said it was most likely just a scab that came off.  So I put some paper tape on it and am keeping an eye on it.

I'm at 4 weeks post op and down 19 lbs.!  I'm excited to see what the next 4 weeks will bring!

Yes it feels good to be walking again.  I'm taking it slow but walked 30 minutes yesterday and felt good enough to go 40 today but got a phone call at 35 minutes, so I'll see what tomorrow brings.

Great news!!!  I'm only 4 days post surgery and I have had no pain meds for 2 days and I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 3 pounds!!  Praise be to God!!!

I had my R.Y.surgery on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am.  According to my doctor, it went perfectly!  Dr. Jeffery Baker at Unity Hospital was a really great doctor for me.  He made me feel comfortable with his ablities by explaining some of the extra steps he takes to ensure the connections won't leak.  He even took the time to take some awesome before and after pictures for me of my stomach for my scrapbook!!  What a guy!!

It is Saturday today and my pain is managable.  I'm able to sleep all night without pain medication.  I'm greatful to everyone who is praying for me and most greatful to God my Father who has brought me to this point and will see me through to the end!!!

My appointments went great!  The pre-op physical is done and I met with the surgeon with a great weigh in.  I met the insurance mininum weight loss plus a couple more pounds!  I was so excited to see the numbers come up on the scale.  The Lord has really helped me.  Praise God!

tomorrow I get my pre-op physical and my last offical weigh in. 
then all be waiting to hear if I get approval from my insurance.  waiting and praying
