Gee I havent had the surgery yet but from 1 year ago when Dana had her surgery I have lost over 30 lbs!!
This morning when I weighed myself I just stood there in total shock . I am under 250!\!!!!!!!!!!!! When she had her WLS I weighed just a shade over 280. I weighed in at an amazing 249.5 today
Of course it helps that this week I have the worst cold I have had in decades. and I am hardly eating . I have no sense of smell or taste and I just dont feel hungry . All I ate yesterday was about a half a cup of pasta . I stil dont feel hungry but I ate some more pasta and an apple.I want to see if I can keep this up . At this rate maybe I wont have to have the WLS. Since Dana and I live together I have really paid attention to what I eat . When my mother was alive I had to force her to eat and I fixed high calorie meals for her so of course that didnt help me. If she didnt eat enough she would lose 5 lbs overnight it seemed. Damn ...why didnt I get her metabolisim. Oh well I am just happy to be where I am right now . Now I just need to get over this damn cold .

I came to this board to make friends and meet the people my daughter Dana had told me about for a long time . I can say I have met some very nice people and then some that as far as I can tell act like they are still in High School. If you dont like some one just stay out of their business. If you dont like some one dont make assumations about them till you know them . If you dont like some one dont mess in their lives, you dont know the trouble you create .And most of all TELL THE TRUTH. Some people make up the "truth " as they go and that only causes more harm than good. People JUST GROW UP. Take care of you business and leave others to their own. Dont mess with familys and go work on your own happiness . It would make this world awhole lot nicer

I can't get enough of the before and after pictures . Will it really make that much of a difference in me? I want to have the surgery tomorrow but then I am scared of it also . I have been big all my life . I was called Cheryl the barrel in school. I have hated my name because of that . Or Cherie round as a berry . I got so I won't let any one call me Cherie.
I have so many health promblems , I just wonder how much the surgery will help with those ?
Dana wants to take the family to Disneyland but she told me I need to lose some weight so I can ride the rides . I try , but I have no will power . If there is something to eat in the house. its in my mouth . I quit smoking July 5th 1994 with out to much trouble . Why can't I stop eating?? Any thing sweet and its gone. Candy doesntlast long around here . I want to stop but can't seem to . I will go with out eating and feel great but then when I start I can't stop ..
My Mom and my oldest brother were rail thin . My other brother and I got all the weight in the family . He even had a heart atack but that didn't slow him down on his weight gain . I havent talked to him in 2 years so I dont know what he is up to now . All I know is I need to STOP!!!. I want to see my grandsons grow up .
