Three Year Surgiversary!
Oct 09, 2009
Hard to believe that three years ago today I weight well over 200 pounds and was about to undergo a major surgery.Today I weigh 151 pounds. I've gained about 20 pounds recently and not sure how but my doctors think they are on to something. I did not have many complications with my surgery. My worst was a bout with diverticulosis and neuropathy in my back that a six month prescription of Lyrica healed right up! Over the past six months I've been having a lot of problems with my blood sugars. I was having to get A1C panels done, fasting sugar tests done, it was awful! Turns out I am officially HYPOGLYCEMIC. I struggle to keep my blood sugars above 75 over the course of the day. I eat about six times a day and if my sugars dip too low I go into shock. Last week we took my sugar levels and they were at 38. It's very scary. I start shaking, sweating have trouble seeing.. some orange juice gets me functioning again but I have to turn to something high in carbs to regulate them... well over the past six months its happened so much and the high carb foods i use to regulate my sugars if affectnig my weight. Ive gone from 128 (was too small for me i think) and leveled out at about 138 (I LIKED weighing 138) now im at 151... I do not like weighing 151. I need to lose 20 pounds to be REALLY HAPPY. I will say this.. I still think I LOOK HOT. blue jeans, belt longsleeve tank or spaghetti straps, to me, i love me. Id love me more 20 pounds lighter but I do love me.
Santa is bringing me a bicycle this year, so thats good. I ride horses now and work at a stable so things are busy for me!
My advice to everybody.. stay true to who you are!
