I can't believe that it has been so long since I have posted.  I am now 9 months out.   I am doing really good.  I am now smaller than I have been since my high school days.  I just can believe it when I look in the mirror.  I have also joined a support group online. I found it very helpful to talk to others who have been going through some of the same things.  Down 117 pounds to date and still losing!

Well, I am 3 months out from surgery and I have lost 76 pounds.  I feel great.  Everytime I get on the scales or look in the mirror, it is just incredible.  I am also down 5 sizes in clothing. I am continuing to excercise daily.  I know that I probably am not getting enough protein but I do what I can each day.

I went online today to check out the symptons of dehydration.
loss of appetite
dry skin
skin flushing
dark colored urine
dry mouth
fatigue or weakness
chills
head rushes
Yes, I have every one of these.  I know that I am not getting the amount of fluids that I should.  I am having problems getting the liquid down.  It feels like there is a lump stopping the fluid from going all the way down.  I am trying to drink more and eat less.  Hopefully I can get this under control with having to go into the hospital.

Well, it has been two weeks since surgery.  What a long two weeks.  Surgery was the easy part.  Kidney failure and low blood pressure caused me to stay in the hospital for 5 days.  Then the water weight gain when I got home (30 lbs).  I didn't think that would ever come off.  It only took a week to lose those 30 lbs but it seemed like forever.  Then there was the gas in my tummy.  Finally I found out that GasEx really does work.
Now that everything is sort of back to normal, I feel so much better.  I am eatting small amounts and drinking as much as I can.  I have lost 22 lbs since the first appointment with Dr. Duncan.

I have a date.  Surgery will be Aug 5, 2008!

I have my consult on the 14th of July and preop on the 21st of July.
Then the endoscopy on the 22nd of July.  After all of that I will have surgery on the 5th of August.  I am so ready.

Talked with the insurance company today.  I am APPROVED!!!!!!!!

Talked to Jackie at Dr. Duncans office.  She said that she would call me soon to set up my dates.

Just spoke to Dr. Duncan's office.  All paperwork is there and has been looked over by the doctor.  Everything will get faxed to the insurance company tomorrow.  They should possibly have an answer in the next week or two.  I can't wait!

Waiting for a call back from Dr. Duncans office to make sure that they got all the paperwork they need for the insurnace company.  Hopefully the insurance company won't take very long to process everything.  Can't wait to get a surgery date. 

Went to Macon today for my physc eval.  Hopefully this is the last of my clearances that I will need.  Just have to get my PCP to get everything together and send it to Dr. Duncan's office.  Then wait for a date.

Went for the Nurtition Evaluation today in Atlanta at Dr. Duncan's office.  Learned a little bit more than I knew.  Got alot of help from his website.  Ok, so this is another step that I have passed.  Getting closer to that surgery date, I hope.
