Chris, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I pray you have a healthy and speedy recovery. I agree with you about Dr. Phil. My hubby was watching it yesterday and I asked him to turn it because I was getting disgusted. I try and not think about Dr. Phil. It's like watching John Madden on Monday Night Football.

Hello Chris - I loved your post to the message board this morning. hehehe, "Crack that whip and start learnin' on 'em." They're about to get some very intense lessons and you're gonna be the perfect teacher!! : ) Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! You'll find ALL the changes that follow, nothing short of a miracle. For 20 years I prayed and hoped for a "second chance" in life to be healthier and thinner - I never thought I would get that chance, but I did, and now so will you. My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery, even if all you want to do is stay in bed with the covers pulled over your head, make yourself get up and WALK!! As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the protein drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water [64 oz daily]. Another important thing to remember...? CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on numbers, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace during this journey - don't let any of them slip by. Have a blast and ENJOY your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!! NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!! ....Hugs and smiles : )
