scale keeps on moving down....
Apr 06, 2010
It has been over a month since my surgery and it's been pretty rocky but I am doing ok. I have been losing weight consistently and i am ok with the level of restriction. I am learning that I often eat because of habits, rather than hunger. For example, eating Reese's pieces and popcorn with a huge soda during the movie was just something I did, even if it was after dinner. Also, when my friends and family are eating, I often feel the need to eat but not always the hunger. I want to be able to sit and have a family meal again...that is one thing that is being affected by this surgery-my family is not eating together very often. We need to start doing that, even if we are all eating something different. The good thing is, I have a lot of friends and a pretty supportive family and that helps a lot. I am ready to find a local support group now. I think I will benefit from that tremendously. So that will be my next step. Also, just wondering if anyone else had a grueling and difficult first fill? It took my doctor a really long time to find the center of the port, which really freaked me out. I am hoping it's not only me. i am not looking foward to the next fill!
