Hello. My name is Stacey. I am 36 Happily married and have 3 children all of which happen to be TEENAGERS....I'm glad I stumbled upon this site. It's been very informative as well  as some of you. TY  I've been overweight since early youth. It's time to do something about it, and I am ready to take that leap. I have a great support system already in place. I think that is a big step #1....The rest will fall into play, as I go along my journey. I have always been the type to put everyone else's needs before my own. Well, so much time has gone by that, I can't ignore ME anymore. So here I am and I know if I stay positive, I can get through this.

    Just wanted to let you all know I am very new to this. Some of you have already giving me a helping hand and some great information on how and where to start my journey. A big TY to all of you.
   Any other's that may have some helpful info I would love to hear from you as well and what led to you surgical preference. I am leaning towards RNY. Any advice? Pros or Cons??  I'm sure I will learn a lot more as I go...I have my first seminar at CMC in Jan. 07  wish me luck...I am a bit nervous and I'm sure there will be a lot of info to absorb..

       Ok, went to WLS seminar this evening held at CMC in Manchester, NH. Very informative, I now have a better understanding of it all and the difference between the two surgeries. I will attend next weeks support meeting as well, they are bringing in a plastic surgeon to discuss different procedures for the after math. I filed all paper work and now need to contact my PCP for some info to fax over. Then I should really be ready for take off. =0)

Ok, here we are 1/29/07
 I got a call today from Lisa at CMC. We've set up some appointments. Feb 27th I will meet with the nurse then with the nut. On 3/1/07 I will meet with the Dr.
 Things are starting to take place and I am getting excited, even thought it's just starting. But HELLO, it's starting yeahhhhh
