Hey guys, I'm back! Surgery went well and I absolutely had the BEST beside manner at the renowned George Washington Hospital in Washington, DC.Now, to the nitty gritty. I HATED MY LIQUID DIET!! I must say, luckily, it was just a week but if I smell, look or taste broth, jello or broth again, I'm gonna KICK someone. Yesterday I began the pureed diet and so far it's not too bad. I am concerned though that I'm not eating enough, drinking enough water, etc. As far as my pain, having the procedure done openly has convinced me that I've taken soooo much for granted i.e. coughing, bending, sneezing, yawning, ummmm, streching, laughing and yes pooping, LOL. All in all, my spirits are high and I'm looking forward to the months to come. Tomorrow I weigh in at my surgeon's office so we'll see what a week and a day post op has produced.
