"My first impression of Dr. Frezza was a pretty quick one. We only spoke for about 5 minutes, but you also have to consider the fact that I had already spoken to and gone through most of the pre-approval process with another weight-loss organization who considered me a prime candidate for surgery. Dr. Frezza also said that I am a good candidate for the surgery so now I'm just waiting for my insurance to approve the procedure. Dr. Frezza's staff is wonderful. Everyone is so nice. =) The only problem I had during my initial consultation visit was the waiting time between meetings with the nurse, dietician and Dr. Frezza. I spent more time in the waiting room than I did in any of the meetings or exams. It's a 4 hour visit, but I probably spent about 2 and a half hours of it waiting. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Frezza was so straight-forward about the surgery itself and asking me why I wanted to have this procedure done... and I was equally straight-forward with my answers. I knew why I wanted to have this done long before I entered his office. I WANT TO LIVE AS LONG AS I CAN! Diabetes runs in my family and I am pre-diabetic already. Surgical competence is probably the most important factor in my choice for a surgeon and I believe Dr. Frezza knows his stuff. I don't believe that he would approve a candidate for surgery if he didn't think it was medically necessary."
