I am 33 years old and have been overweight since I was 9 or 10 years old. Growing up, I always seemed to accept who I was. I took dance for 15 years and was always involved. It made me happy and is what I love more than anything. I haven't danced in the past three years which has been hard. I come from a colombian family and live in Miami, Fl. I live in a place where appearance is EVERYTHING. Let me reiterate that, IMAGE is EVERYHTING!!!!!
It's sad but true. It has taken me a couple of years to get here, but I am finally looking into WLS. It came to me when I last went to the doctor last month. I weighed 385 lbs. I am a size 26/28 and have been for years. It was terrifying, but my doctor told me that I should really look into bariatric surgery. I made an appointment for my first group visit and have done countless research. So here I am at the start of my journey.....
