 I FINALLY got below the 400 pound mark. When I weighed myself this morning I was down to 394.4 pounds. I lost 10 pounds in the last week. Hopefully the plateau stage is over for a while

Just found out on January 4, 2011 that both Dr. Coles office and the bariatric surgery section of Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York are shutting down as of April 30, 2011. I, for one, will miss both Dr. Cole and the medical center for treatment and care. They are truly both places of the best medical care that I have ever had throughout my entire life.

Just got back from seeing my nutritionist. I started on my stage two diet plan today. Since I came home from the hospital 12 days ago I have already lost 40 pounds and feel great!!!

I had my RNY surgery at 2PM on November 15, 2010.  I had to stay in ICU for two days because I stopped breathing on my own when they tried to take out the breathing tube. I also ended staying for four days instead of three because my oxygen level would go down below 80 just walking about 20 feet. The pain level has only been around 2 out of 10 since the surgery and I have not used the pain meds since I came home. I now have my new racing stripe from my chest to my belly button. All I need to do now is get enough money for the race car and car hauler. LOL! The hospital staff was the best of any hospital I have ever been in and would highly recommend both Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Dr. Robert Cole in Elmira, New York to do your surgery.

Here we go again!! Doctor is out of town on November 8th so surgery is now scheduled for November 15th. Hope this is the last time change.

It is now official!!! My bariatric surgery date is set for Monday, November 8th, 2010!!!
Soon I will be on the losing end of something in my life and loving every minute of it for a change.

I have now passed my pulmonary and cardio tests and have full clearance to go ahead with the operation. Just waiting to get the pre-op tests done and then the big day.

It is almost here. October 18, 2010. The date I have been waiting for for over three years. Now I can start living a new and healthier lifestyle. WOO HOO!!!!
