Carolyn, I just had to drop in and tell you I had the EXACAT thing happen to me. I chose to go ahead and use the surgeon I had already planned on doing the surgery. If you can afford it, you can do it as a point of serice with out of network dr.. Also when I got my letter from Tricare it did state they approved my surgery itself, just not with the out of network dr.. The approval was really quick too.
