I am 32 years old, I have two beautiful children and a wonderful husband. I have been overweight my entire life. I found out in 2009 that I am diabetic, which runs in my family. I decided in 2012 that I have had enough. I want my life back; I want to be there for my kids and so I started looking into WLS. I had originally told my husband that I wanted to have the gastric bypass but after extensive research have decided to have the DS surgery, which with all luck will be having at St Marks hospital in SLC, UT. My family has been very supportive of my decision. My husband has been by my side the entire time driving two hundred miles each way for my doctor appointments. I am at the point that the paperwork is being submitted to my insurance company and now have to wait for a response back from them. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
