Well I have all my appointments done. The 6 month supervised diet is done, All the paperwork is turned in. Now all I can do is sit and wait for the insurance to give the approval. I know I said before we are hoping for a June date but we want a May surgery date now. We live about 4 hours from the hospital so we have to stay in Anchorage for 10 days after I am released from the hospital. Here in Alaska the tourist season starts in June and all the hotel prices double. So if we can do it in May we wont have to morgage the house, ha ha ha. I have to admit this is a very hard time. It is kind of like knowing Christmas is near!!

Well I just thought I would give anyone who cares an update. I have all my pre-op test done. I have the appointment with the final Doctor next week. He will either clear me for surgery or tell me I need a sleep study (which Im sure I will have to have). I will go in for my 4th month weigh in for my 6 month supervised diet. So I am hoping to have a June surgery date!!!! I am excited and scared at the same time. Well that is my story update. Everyone have a good night.

Well I had my first appointment with the surgeon and got all the orders for the pre-test. So far I have done, chest x-rays, blood work, today was the abdomen ultrasound and a upper GI. I have a mammogram scheduled for the 26th. But during all of this I was sent to see an ENT for chronic congestion. It looks like I will be going through a nose surgery before the bariatric surgery. But the Dr. said that I will be all healed before I have my other surgery. I am almost 3 months into my 6 month supervised diet. So I'm really hoping to have a June surgery date. But I will keep an open mind on that. It is getting to be kinda surreal. I have been wanting this for so long and it is now just months away, instead of years. I'm very excited.
