My overall weight loss and today's appointment.

Feb 25, 2015

In October of last year, I weighed 349. That was the heaviest I have ever been. In Jan of this year, at my first appointment with my bariatric surgeon, I weighed 335/336lbs. Today, at my appointment with the surgeon, I weighed 310! I am so proud of myself. Everytime I see pounds come off when I look at the scale, it makes me unbelievably proud of what I have done. I couldn't be happier with my progress. I am going to start going back to the gym next week. I planned on going back this month but bills were high and I just couldn't swing the money. I will def. be able to join next week and I am going to start going at least every other day. Maybe even everyday, even if it's just to go in the sauna or hit the treadmill or go for a swim. I am excited to start working out again. Also, I love my surgeon and his staff which I think is very important! They make me so happy when I'm around them and I genuinely feel like they care about me and what I'm saying and that feels awesome. My surgeon told me today that everything is going along smoothly and we're hoping to be scheduling the surgery for April!!! Yay! We'll see. If not, then it'll be July. Either way, it's coming up and I couldn't be happier with the path that I am on. :)

Just a quick update. :)

Feb 07, 2015

I started my supervised weight loss program last month. I have my second appointment on the 16th of this month. I am hoping to lose a few more pounds before then. I was 325 at my first appointment. I also have an appointment with my bariatric surgeon on the 25th for a follow up and to evaluate the whole situation. Moving forward. I'm so excited. I'm in this for the long run. I feel like nothing is going to get in the way of me getting this surgery and changing my life. I'm just glad this is happening. :)

Moving right along...

Tomorrow I go to get a EGD done by my bariatric surgeon. I had been having some trouble with my primary doctors office.... they were giving me a hard time about scheduling my visit to begin my supervised weight loss program. I don't really understand why they were being so weird about it. They wanted to put it off until Feb but then all my weight loss from this month, wouldn't be counted in the eyes on my insurance and that would have not been okay with me. I just complained a bit and stood my ground and told them that this is important and after I explained to them repeatedly that insurance will deny the surgery if I do not follow all of their set rules, they finally scheduled my appointment for it. I go in on Feb for the first weight loss program visit. I have to lose at least 5% of my weight before the surgery, which I know I can do with this new diet I am following. I am doing great already. I have lost ten pounds since the 5th of this month. I'm moving right now... :) I'm happy with how everything is going and I hope everything keeps going smoothly and in 3-6 months I will be crossing over into the Post-Op category! I can't wait. I'm getting more and more excited as time passes. Also, I'm looking into starting a good exercise regiment. I want to start working on tonight and getting down a good daily workout. More updates to come...

Jan 5th 2015 (First appointment with my surgeon!)

Jan 05, 2015

Today was my consultation and information session with my doctor/surgeon and we got paperwork done and began the process! I am very excited! I go next week for a EGD and I am calling around tomorrow to find a psychologist or psychiatrist to have my psych evaluation done. I also began my "No sugar/ No starch" diet today. I also have to get clearance from my pulmonary doctor, which I already know he will give. And I have to begin my supervised weight loss program with my PCP or a nutritionist. I can't wait to actually have a surgery date set and get it done. I'm just so beyond excited about this whole process. Height-5'7 Weight-336
