Hello all. This is Tim, Dawn's husband ... her surgery was on Thursday, 12-19. My son and I just returned from the hospital. Dawn is doing well except for an infection that has set in on her incision. There is no fever ... Praise the Lord. She is eating and holding down food. Doctors won't release her until the infection is gone. It should be either Chrismas Eve or Christmas morning before she can come home. One the good note .. all diabetes symptoms have been eliminated .. her blood sugar is staying below 100 without any medication ... no need for her stomach pills either .. oh yah .. i almost forgot .. she has already lost 12 lbs in 5 days. Hopefully the next post will be from Dawn herself. Have a Merry Christmas and thank you for your prayers.

well Praise the lord!!!!!! my sis made it and I hear she is doing well. sorry Ididnt get this posted earlier.and sis I just want you to know how very very proud of you I am.and I only wish the best for u!!! I know you made the right choice and you will have alot better health in the future!!! love ya........PUG

Hello This is Tim Maycroft ... Dawn's husband. I was not sure if her angel had posted so I thought I would take a minute to share. Dawn had surgery yesterday at 7:30am. All went well and she is now on her way to recovery. She hurts a little and has been sleepy a lot .. but she is going to be fine. I am very proud for her as I know she has taken a great step to better health. Most importantly .... I love her, always have .. always will.

Dawn, Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your surgery. May it be uneventful and your recovery speedy. Just think, it really is going to be a whole "new" year. A happy, healthier, thinner one at that! Happy Holidays :o)

Here it is one day and a wake up. It has taken so long to get here and now I can't beleive it is finally here. I am so excited and maybe just a little scared not so much of the surgery but of life after it. I am so ready to be a smaller size, but I guess I have the same questions everyone else has had, Will it work for me? Will I be able to loose the weight? Will I be able to keep it off? I know the answer to these questions is yes but they are still there nagging at me. I just a little while ago realized today is the last day I will ever be able to eat the way I am used to.....and that to me is scarey, I have never been able to stick to a diet! I just pray the Lord will give me the strength to get thru each day, and I beleive He will. Well I just wanted to post one more time as a pre-op the next post I will be on the looseing side....YAHOOO!!!!! I can't wait.
