Where do I begin....? I have been researching WLS for nearly 7 years, but unfortunately I had no insurance and no money to self pay. My husband is disabled and so my main focus has been on him and my children. About a year ago I was hired part time working for the state, and told several times that it would not develop into a full time position. Thankfully I have an awesome supervisor who fought and advocated for me to be hired full time. So here I am once again and this time I have insurance and they pay for WLS. I have spoken with the Bariatric Resource Service with United, they have sent my packet, I have had completed my psych evaluation, started my six month supervised diet, support group, and I have made my appt. with my doctor. Now the waiting begins, I’m not sure what is next, all I know is that I am super excited to be here again.
