OH my story, well I have been overweight all of my life, I have been morbidly obese all of my adult life. I thought that I found the perfect tool and had the lapband surgery done in august of 03 it worked really well for me at first and I lost quiet alot of weight I lost 95 lbs, thn one day I got the flu and was sick and started throwing up and this caused many issues with the band, slippage was the major problem and it was causing problems with blockage and unable to swallow, so in the last year, I have not had the tool to use and I have gained weight, not like it was not something that I was expecting, I knew that I was going to regain its just inevitable. any way here I am getting a revision and changing from the band to the RNY bypass.
I have a wonderful husband and 2 great daughters that have been great support, but you always need extra help nd support from people that have gone or are going through what I am about to experience. I know that I am going to need the help an encouragement in the days to come and will be hitting the forums and message boards like crazy.
