I was a very thin child until puberty. Once I gained hips and boobs I was done for. I fought my weight most of that time but once I hit college it was over! I gained not only the freshman 15 but was over 200 pounds! It seemed REAL EASY to gain more from there! I went up and down the whole time I was in college. I was feeling great when I met my husband in 1996. I had dropped down to 220 and was in a size 18. Once I met him I ballooned up to 260. Again I was up and down. When we got married I found out that we were pregnant. At that time I was about 250. From my first child to my third I went from 250 to 308. I got pregnant and had my last son at 308 pounds! I was determined to lose the weight then (2002) I had filled out all the forms for bariatric surgery but a new product came on the market that I was going to try. Anyone remember, Hydroxycut? Well I lost 85 pounds in 5 months and it took the other 7 months to lose the other 15 pounds. But I got stuck at 208! I was eating yoguyrt, chicken, and apples along with exercising. I couldn't get past 208. Within 5 years I was back up to 260. I was mad and looking into the surgery again when my mom asked me to try LA Weight loss. I followed their diet and lost weight too. I dropped down to 206 but again I couldn't break past 206. I began to rebound again creeping back up to 238 when I went through the most devastating loss of my life. Our ten year old duaghter passed away August 30, 2008. At that point I didn't care about my weight. I hurt and wanted the hurt to stop. I ate myself back into 302 pounds. The same month my daughter died a friend at church had the surgery. I didn't know she was having the surgery until I saw her a few months later. In July of 2009 I went to the information session about the surgery. My husband and I both started the process. After going through all the paperwork and doctor's visits I scheduled my gastric bypass surgery for February 15, 2010. After the two week diet I was 291 at the day of surgery. Nine months out I weighed in this morning at 189! I still have about 30 pounds left to go but I am doing so much better now!
