After 22 months since the initial decision to have bariactric surgery, I have a date for surgery for gastric bypass on May 7. Most of the delay was related to insurance related. They denied me and then didn't respond to appeals. I finally was able to get on my husband's insurance and was approved within 3 weeks! I have been to my pre-op class, surgeon and anesthesiologist appointment already. I'm nervous about this but I know it's right! This site has been a great source of inspiration for me.
