Just wanted to say I am doing well . I have lost 21 lbs so far and due to extreme boredom I have gone back to work this week. I don't seem to be having any complications and I am sick of eating yogurt and protien shakes.

Well I came home on Friday afternoon because I was doing so well. I slept in my recliner last night with no problems. The only major challenge I have faced so far was having to ask my hubby to help me wipe ( now I really know what true love is) , and trying to explain to my two year old that mommy has a big booboo and can't hold her for a little while. Surgery was a breeze. Once I took my valium and relaxed , I just napped until they came and got me. They were really nice in the operating room and then lights out. I remember absolutely nada until I woke up in a room with my husband and my mom. I do recall being a wee bit grouchy until I got my demerol dose upped a bit then all was ok. Once I got up a couple of times the next day all went great. Thanks for everyones support.

After a bit of a delay, Dina did have her surgery yesterday. There were a few minor problems, but the surgery was a success and Dina is doing well. She lost a little bit of blood and the surgeon had to remove a small piece of her bowels, other than that everything went fine. So far her recovery is going well and she should be able to come home on Saturday (3/31/01) Jeffrey Raley

Dina: Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. I will be praying for you. I am in the process of switching over to Dr. V since his wait is not near as long as others drs. I was hoping for a lap rny but the OPEN is just fine with me as long as I don't have to wait 6 months. Hopefully sometime in April. Keep us posted. Best wishes, Lynn
