Well what can I say, I'm ready to press the reset button on my life. My story starts like most struggling with weight the majority of my life. I have been on every diet known to man, some were partially successful but none did the trick. I finally got it in my head that it has to be a life style change.
Nine months ago I was diagnosis with High Pressure and my doctor told me that if i kept at this rate ill be a diabetic soon, that sucks because HBP and diabetes runs on both sides of my family so it seems inevitable that I would get it, and it killed my grandmother at the age of 56 and its slowly killing my father. I decided that I needed help. So I did my research regarding WLS.. of course starting out looking into RNY, because I knew someone who was successful with this surgery.
Until...I was on facebook one day and a friend of mine which I hadn't seen in awhile made a post saying that she was super excited and that she was 78lbs down!! so i was immediately drawn to her pictures and OMG, when I tell you she looked fabulous!! and without a thought i emailed her and ask her what did she do. Being the wonderful person that she is she gave me all the information (hint) VSG!!
It happened so fast I signed up for my first seminar and here I am on my journey to having the VSG. I'm here to take the journey with everyone, I'm here to give and get support and learn everything I can as well as share any information that comes my way, I'm so looking forward to being on the losers bench.
