Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been really busy and we've been having computer problems. My surgery went off without a hitch. No problems, no complications so far. I have lost 44 pounds as of today. Haven't had many problems eating. I am going to the gym 4 days a week and playing raquetball angoing linedancing. Fun, fun, fun! I have no regrets and I have the best surgeon ever!

Well, I am so close to being on the Loser's Bench I can taste it!!!! I will be at the hospital at 5AM and my surgery is at 8AM.  My husband and I drove down to San Diego tonight. I feel so excited and probably a dozen other emotions right now I hope I can get to sleep!Thank you to all of you who have been so supportive. You are all so awesome and are my heroes.

Wow! I can't believe there is only one week left before my "rebirthday"! The time has just whizzed by! I have been getting everything ready in my house and kitchen and just going over all the notes and books and everything. It's like I think I'm going to forget everything I have learned about WLS....NOT! Not a chance! I know me though. I like to check and recheck everything! Have a great week and i will post again before I go down to San Diego on Monday!

That's how the time is ticking away! I just figured out that I only have 8 days of work left before I go on my medical leave for the surgery! Next thing you know I will be in the operating room. WOW! I am a mixture of elated, excited, nervous, but determined to better my life!

Well, I have a date everybody! November 19th! I must admit that I was hoping for the beginning of November but I realize that it doesn't matter when I have the surgery as long as I still have it. I've stopped drinking soda since March and have stopped all caffeine. I am taking my vitamins, calcium, B-12, biotin, Vitamin C and at least one protein drink a day. I am trying to get my kitchen ready and my shopping done. I am working on getting to the gym more often and walk on my break at work. I am determined to folow through on all of Dr. Zorn's instructions and intend to make the most of this opportunity he is giving me to regain my life. I am so excited I can't wait! I want to thank all of you out there for your support- you are all amazing! 

I went for my consult appts. on Monday and everything went great! Dr Zorn is my surgeon and I am very happy! He is very pleasant and answered all of my questions. He also gave me some good news. I don't have gall stones! He said there were no stones but there were some polyps on my gall bladder. Dr. Zorn said it wouldn't be necessary to remove my gall bladder for polyps. 
Now I play the waiting game to hear about my surgery date. It looks quite possible that I could be in surgery in the next 3-4 weeks! After going through 6 months of classes everything is going so quickly now it's almost mind-reeling! I am so excited to finally be on the loser's bench!

Well, it's official! I have my consult with the surgeon, internist and my psych eval on Monday! I sure hope the rest of the process goes as quickly as this.

Well, I finally did it! After six months of classes at Kaiser Fontana I have graduated! Yippee!!! And yesterday I got a call from Pacific Bariatrics saying they have received my authorization from Kaiser! Wow! I know I'm using a lot of exclamations but what can I say. Wow! Authorization in one week! I don't have a time yet but my consult appt. with the surgeon, internist and psych eval will be either 10/4 or 10/8! I am so excited. Everything is going quicker and smoother than I expected. It's finally feeling real! I can't wait to start my journey. I count myself blessed to have so many supportive friends and family backing me up.
