I went for my 4 month check up. I drove an 1 hour 45 min, waited a 1/2 to see the nurse. She said I was doing great based on my records and labs. I was a little disappointed she spent 4 min. talking with me... I feel so much comfortable with Dr Abkin. Next time I will ask for him.
I lost 77 pounds, and feel great. I just turned 50 on June 7th but feel like I am so much younger now.I can get up and down easy, no more needles for my sugar, no more pain pills and I looked at myself in a full lenght mirror ( dressed) It has been a very long time for that....I did see some one new.... ME! talk soon

I went for my 1 + month check up today. It was a long day. My appointment was for 11:30 and I wasn't seen until 1:45. It takes me 2 hours to get there and back. I was so tired and had no food to eat. But I am pleased with my weight lost 35 pounds. I can't eat stage 3 foods yet. I have a hard time with small pieces and stage 2. The doctor said it is ok to be where I am. I also told doctor I am cold alot more. I kinda knew it had to do with losing FAT and that is what he told me. LOL Wow in a year I better move to the Sunshine State.LOL I never was cold in my life but when was I without my Coat of Warmth (FAT)?
I missed seeing my friends I made in Pre Op class today, but I will call them to see how they made out. I am sure they will have great news about being on our loser's bench. Hello to my roommate ! You Go Girl Love You!

It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since the surgery. I am feeling so much better. I have just a little pain in my lower left side. I am down now 15 pounds. I am doing good with drinking at least 1 1/2 cups a protein shakes. I really am not graving sweets as my sis was eating a candy bar. In the past I would of ripped it from her to get a piece but intead I ate some jello. I have been getting out a little more but I seem sleepy in the afternoon. My sugar levels have never been so low. I guess I am really watching my diet and intake of carbs. Thank God I would love to rid of the needles.  Be back soon!

Here I sit reading about how others made the same choice I am about to.
"A little nervous!"but I know it will be "alot" soon.  I am happy I have met people and now friends that we will be with each other on 02/09/09. We can cry, laugh and push our morphine pumps together.
