Well i am going to try to fill this thingy out ....finally.. I am 31 yrs old well soon to be 32 ( shhhhh) the yr went by to fast. I am married to a wonderful man, well this time around. I was married before and had 2 children which are now 14 and 13. I wasnt that heavy then, but soon after the 2nd child was born, i started packing on the weight. Their father was an alcoholic and i hated it. I was always depressed being around a drunk husband and raising my kids alone, but I stayed and food became my coping stradegy. As time went on, things got worse in my marriage but didnt quite know what to do, my kids were small and I was young so i stayed and barred with the problem and decided to go back to school. That really helped because I was gaining some independance. When I was 23, I decided to go on my own withmy kids. It was the best thing I could have done. I went to see my doctor at that time and asked for help with my weight and he put me on ionamin. I have to say it did work for the short time that i could be on it ( 3 months) i lost about 35 lbs, but i didnt like the way it made me feel, but at least I thought I had a heads up on the weight loss. While working lots of afternoon shifts, i happened to meet a really awesome guy who I had went to high school with, only thing he didnt even look like the same person. So we dated for 4 yrs and got married. We had our first child together and ohhhhhhh no, I gained sooooo much weight. Soon after he was born, i couldnt figured out why i wasnt losing any weight and i was sooo draggy all the time. I mean i was a busy mom with 2 school aged kids and now a new baby. HYPOTHYROIDISM was the problem and so i went on meds. Things seemed ok and although i didnt like being the fat momma, i started to get use to it. Then we decided to move to northern ontario when we got news that the baby was asthmatic. We sold our home and were northern bound. So this is where i am now and well....... with 2 more children for a grande total of 5. they are now 14, 13, 5, 4, 23 months. its a very busy house mostly all the time. I am now at the heaviest i have ever been which is 278 and im 5ft, 8 inches tall. I have been very uncomfortable these last few months.
I just went though alot with my last pregnancy which is wow almost 2 yrs ago. I almost died with toxemia and was air lifted to have an emergency delivery. Then after 3 months was treated for pre cancer in my cervix. There is alot in between but i would be writing until next year. Anyhow, Im very excited and want my life to turn around now for the better. This is why i decided to have WLS. Anyhow....... Im like the rest of you out there, I just want to find some peace and happiness and doing this will put me at a goooooooood start.
