Wow I am down 73 pounds---23 from the presurgery diet and awhopping 50 in the two months post surgery!  This is amazing.  I am going through clothes like there is no tomorrow!  I actually got into a couple of outfits that I hadn't been in for 14 years!

Yippee!  I am down 69 pounds.  I can hardly believe it!  I am feeling so good that I have to keep reminding myself that just a few months ago I was miserable!

Down to 283--a total of 66 pounds off!  Just had my appointment with the surgeon and he says I am doing fantastic.  I am feeling wonderful.

Wow! Down 60 pounds now from my all time high.  I am feeling great and have begun exercising.  Started walking and swimming.  I can tolerate most foods as long as the meat is moist and well chewed.

Wow!  I am now down 53 pounds.  I am feeling wonderful.  No meds any more and my diabetes and high blood pressure are gone.  I feel a lot of the weight coming off my bottom--which is good.  I am also more energetic and can do more things that I absolutely couldn't do before.

Well here I am 45 pounds lighter and feeling wonderful!  I can hardly believe how I am no longer on high blood pressure medication and diabetes medication.  No more woozy feelings.  This is wonderful--like a miracle.  Every day I feel better and better.  I am still learning to slow down when eating and to chew, chew, chew!  I haven't found anything that I can't tolerate.  I am amazed at how good I feel when I am eating just a couple tablespoons of food!

Just got back from the surgeon's office for my 2 week check up.  He removed the gastric tube---Hurray!  He said I am doing fantastic and that I can follow the full diet now and that I have no restrictions.  I have lost another 5 lbs.!

I just got back from the surgeon's office and I now have my drainage tube removed---the gastric tube comes out next Monday and I am down another 6 lbs!  Whoo Hoo!  I celebrated with a pedicure!
 
He told me I could start on soft foods so I will see how that goes!

Well I made it through the surgery and am back home again.  I was discharged yesterday afternoon.  I am glad to be home so I can move around without being tied to IVs, etc.  I had to stay longer than expected because I had an expisode of arterial fibrilation--fluttering irradic heartbeat.   They checked everything out and said it was probably due to the stress of the surgery and the left over adrenalin.  I am going to follow up with my cardiologist though.  I am glad I did this BUT it is very sore.  I hate being immobile.

Well I am packed and ready to go!  I am not too nervous.  I think I went through all of that over the last week or so.  I AM tired of the liquid diet I have been on for the last couple of days.  It is easier today than it was yesterday but it is still tough.  This time tomorrow I will be on my way to a new and healthier me!
