on my anniversary (or the day after)
Aug 09, 2007
1 year. 130 lbs. lost. Exercise 6 days a week. Ride 45 miles on my road bike. Feel healthier...actually fit...for the first time in my adult life. I have no words to describe the difference this surgery has made in my life. I can only say thank you...to everyone who helped me get here.

7/14/2006: I feel like now my journey is beginning in earnest. I just received THE call today telling me that my insurance company had approved me for the surgery. I'm excited. Scared. Elated. Everything you can think of. Can't wait to get the date, though.
7/31/06: I got my date! August 9...Just a little over a week from now. So much to do to get myself ready. I can't believe this is actually happening!
11/09/06: Time flies on the losing side! 3 months since the surgery as of today and I'm 75 pounds down. Feel great. Can't get used to the smaller body, though. My mind needs more time to catch up!
02/13/06: Just passed the 6 month mark and I'm 103 lbs. down. I work out almost every single day, and twice a week with a personal trainer. I can't remember the last time I felt so good...so alive!
