Many thanks to all for your kind words! I meant to respond to each of you individually, but got confused and thought I could do it from this web site, so deleted the messages from my e-mail list. Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Hey Buddy!! Well it looks like we are going to have a sure enough celebrity in our midst as Jen makes the Chronicle headlines with her weight loss success story <wink> Now you probably already figured out this is your buddy DeWitt pulling your chain. All kidding aside, may God be with you through this adventure to discover the new you. And that is what it is, an adventure filled with ups and downs, so be prepared for a few setbacks along the way, but in the end, when the old you is peeled away and the new you shines forth, you ponder and say, "It was worth it all."
