Now the Pre-op phase

Well, here I am finally in the pre-op phase of this journey. Thought I would never get here. But did not realize how hard this was going to be. I am hungry alot. Trying not to dwell on it. I have 10 days left until surgery day. I am really excited about it. However, there are those moments when I wonder what my stomach will feel like. It will not feel like it has all my life. Then I think about the reasons I am doing this and know I am making the right decision. My family is supporting me. My coworkers are supporting me. In fact, when I go to work they ask me how many more days left. They seem to be just as excited as I am. I feel blessed to have this cheering team. They just aren't happy about me being out of work for awhile. They say they will miss me. Thats so funny! Really, they are great. Will add more I promise.

Well, i have gotten all my tests done. I have to call the surgeons office and let the girls know. Then they can make an appt for me to meet with Dr. G and hopefully set a date. I am ready to have this done now. If i can't have it done soon ( like before the first week of October), I may wait until January. I don't want this surgery to inhibit all i have to do to get ready for the holidays. I have alot to do ( shopping, decorating, cleaning, etc.) and i have to be up to it. Well, got to go.

This experience has been really interesting. At this time i really haven't had any problems. My biggest problem is choosing a surgery. Banding vs. Bypass. I am leaning towards banding. But that could change. I feel comfort when i think of banding and i feel apprehensive when i think of bypass. I am a firm believer that we receive messages and that we should listen to them. Some call it intuition. I know its my Angels and Guides.
