Down 25 pounds and had to go buy new scrub pants. Was pretty happy that I went from a 2X to a Large. Yes they are scrubs and they are not a true Large but still it is 2 sizes. It is going a little slower this past month, but amazing at how good I feel. More energy, I walk faster, not short of breath, and off blood pressure meds. Doctor was happy, I am happy. Thank God for taking care of me and letting this happen. So glad that I have been blessed to eating more foods including raw veggies. I was able to eat cukes, tomato and carrots this week. Yeah.

Here I sit on day 5 of my new life. Body has been detoxing for the past week and oh my, has it be detoxing. Not sure if it was from all the bad foods I ate, or the drugs from surgery, or both. But I am starting to understand my body does not need 2000-4000 calories a day to live. I can live and feel good with less. So glad I started this journey.

Well today I shared the news to the mother of my BFF. Both the mom and daughter are skinny and can loose 4-8 pounds in 2 days. I have been waiting to tell them because they just don't get it. And sure enough, as the counselor said, the negative hit and hurt. I did not realize how bad it would hit when I heard the words "what have you tried first". That was like " you have never tried hard enough.". Maybe I am being sensitive, or just maybe they just don't get it. At least one down, now to let the BFF and my mother know..

Well the surgery date is set. So looking forward to food not longer being the main focus in my life. All ready feel better by not eating sweets, and soda. Just wish if I could move the clock ahead 12 months. Can't wait to see how I feel and look then.

The big step now is telling my skinny BFF, who reminds me daily of how fat she is. Some day's it bothers me, makes me feel like if she is calling herself fat (size 5), then what is she calling me, the size 18-20 gal? Guess when the time is right, it will happen.
