Andras Sandor

"Dr. Andras Sandor, Stoneham MA. An amazingly calm, gentle, intellegent & well experienced, reassuring physician. Very open. Lovely manner. Respectful of my time and the path that brought me to him. Staff is extroidinary. His assistant Kathy is a constant source of help, always with a smile and kindness. I can't say enough about Dr Sandor, Kathy his assistant and Kathy his nurse! All I know is that I cannot imagine going through all of this without them. They really make you feel as though you are their only patient. We now have our own support group, where 'old timers' are there to talk, openly, about the entire procedure. It's also a place where we can explore new ideas, diet issues, plastic surgical concerns and just laugh! The site is warning me that it's impossible to give a 100% review. I'm here to say that's just not true....Thank you Dr. Sandor. You are the best! Now am post-RNY and could not be happier. Thank you Dr Sandor. Kathy Chaplin, what can I say? You are the right hand and irreplacable! I love you! "

Lawrence Memorial Hospital

"....I guess that only counts if you are NOT in the ICU. I was treated miserably except by ONE nurse, who thank God took me as her own for days 2 and 3, but as soon as she left at 3pm my life was back to miserable. I was literally yelled at when I asked for pain meds, told that a lack of IV 'good spot' was my fault, given a room with a woman with dementia, who when not undressing to show the world, was yelling. Except for the 2 hours in recovery, I slept in 5 minute intervals in 36 hours. Then I started yelling at her and staff at 4am on the 2nd and the woman was moved to a solo room. Which had been EMPTY all along. At one point I was having horrible regurgitation, asked for help and was told to relax and be quiet. I then overheard this nurse telling another staffer to not worry about me since I wasn't in pain, I was having an anxiety attack. Then my surgeon came in and he was able to take care alot of the immediate problems, but in general the staff was in my honest opinion, cruel. I would not recommend anyone going there who might need ICU care, such as those with HBP, as I do."

"Cathleen has an amazing personal manner and knowledge of the surgery process. I've decided to keep on with her through the surgery & beyond as a therapist/support."
