I've discovered this wonderful site a bit late in my journey. I really have had a pretty uneventful start to my process... Thank God!
I started in late March with my PCP, who I'm sure hadn't had anyone request GBS before. He kinda just had this deer in the headlights look. He just sent me to UCSF since it was a given they where the best. I was ok with that.
April I was waiting on referrals to go through and May I had all my appointments made.. Whew!! Only one glitch.. my Cardioligist felt I didn't need all the required tests since I did just fine on the first one... which was the EKG. So I'm in the process here just 3 weeks before surgery getting the other 2 tests done... that were required.. I"m sure there will be no problems.
So here I am before surgery and overwelmed like most. Just taking one day at a time.
