Okay, slight little bump... I kept checking to see if everything was approved through Tricare and well.... they denied it. BECAUSE I have other insurance. SO, what I was told was that they have to re-submit it through my OHI (BCBS) and then my OHI will send a denial and they re-submit everything back to Tricare and then I get an approval. So, now, I am thinking 1st of the year I will be having surgery instead of mid-December. Which is okay, I am okay with it. I am surprised I am not more upset but, I am cool with it. I just keep telling myself "It is a bump, we will get through it. It's nothing I can change". Be positive, that is all I can do!

After I posted my blog, I went to the Forum and posted to see how long it has taken Tricare patients to get an approval and this WONDERFUL woman gave me a site to go to and I could check the status of my referral..and........ drumroll............. It is PENDING... lol I know, it is not approved but, pending is progress!!! That means they submitted it yesterday or Thursday! Things are moving along GREATLY! 

Okay everyone, this is the BEST update yet! I went and met Dalton Prickett on Wed. and he told me that they were going to do my dictation on thur. & fri. and then mon. or tues. submit it to Tricare!!! So now, we call Tricare everyday! I am SO excited. When the approval comes back, I am going to schedule a date! They are saying it will be before Christmas. Thank goodness! I am SO ready for surgery! It is going to work out SO well. I still did my CT Scan on my heart on fri. and I get the results this tues. I know everything will be okay. I also told Dr. Prickett about my sleep study on the 30th and that wasn't a problem either. I am SO happy things are working out!

Hopefully I will have an approval blog post REAL soon! :)

It has been a little bit since I updated everyone last. So, I went back this past Thursday to get the results of my Echo and my stress test and they now want to do a CT scan of my heart. The dr. told me that it is common for the CT to be ordered after an echo and stress test. (???) I am going to do the CT scan this Friday.

I also got my appointment for the surgeon and the sleep study dr. I am going to knock both of those appointments out of the way on wed. I hope I get a date!! I was told I won't but, who knows... lets hope for one. :) 

I feel like surgery is never going to happen for me. I just have to keep telling myself that it is a process and everything they are doing, they are doing for me and my health. I am just SO ready for surgery. I know I have to be patient.

Okay, so, I guess I was wrong. I thought the cardio clearance was just going in, having and EKG and all is well. But, maybe it is different for some people. I have to go back for a stress test and and Echo. That is fine, I know he wants to make sure my heart is working good. But, he also told me that I need to have a sleep study. Now, Judy at the WMC told me I didn't need one. I know the Cardio Dr is just being cautious but, I want surgery now. I feel like it is prolonging everything. I still have 2 appointments left with the surgeons so, hopefully I get a call today with the first appointment time. I know I won't have the surgery in November now but, hopefully Dec. We shall see! I will keep everyone posted!

Waa Hoo!!! I passed the test! Next big one is the cardio which, I know I will do fine. I have never had any heart problems. They said they are just going in to make sure my heart is doing what it is supposted to. Hope all is well with everyone!

Everyone wish me luck! I am going to take my nutrition and exercise test today! I fell confident that I can pass. I hope I do... One step closer!!!
